Introduction

This project is about language-rich environmental print in the community. The purpose for this project is to raise awareness of multiliteracy in Birmingham-Hoover Metro area. In order to do this, we took pictures of religious centers in the Birmingham-Hoover area. Many of these places had different languages that could be used with students in the classroom.

To the left are tabs that can be used to view information about this project. We found evidence of seven languages. Those languages are: Arabic, Chinese, Greek, Hebrew, Japanese, Korean, Lebanese, and Spanish.  We felt that by getting a broad range of languages that we could explore multiliteracy in its entirety.  Please feel free to view the different pages that are neatly laid out for your convenience.
